HandyNexus connects people who need work done with verified artisans across Nigeria. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it and the choices you have. We process personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

What we collect

• Account details: your name, phone number, email address and profile photo.
• Job details: descriptions, photos, location and messages you send in the app.
• Artisan verification: National Identification Number, a live selfie and bank account details for payouts. These are checked through our verification partner and are never shown to clients.
• Payments: transaction records. Card details are handled by our payment partner, not stored by us.
• Device and usage data that helps us keep the service secure and working well.

How we use it

• To match jobs with nearby artisans and show distance and availability.
• To verify artisans and keep people safe.
• To hold payments, release them when a job is confirmed and resolve disputes.
• To send job updates, receipts and support replies.
• To detect fraud and meet our legal obligations.

Who we share it with

We share only what is needed with service providers that help us run HandyNexus, such as our identity verification, payments, hosting, maps and messaging partners. Clients see an artisan's name, photo, trades, rating and reviews. Phone numbers stay private until a job is hired. We never sell your personal data.

How long we keep it

We keep account data while your account is active. Job and payment records are kept for as long as the law requires for tax and dispute purposes, then deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it. Email support@handynexus.work and we will respond within 30 days. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. It stores one setting in your browser: whether you turned on reduced motion.
