A few things worth knowing
Good questions.
Straight answers.
Still have something on your mind?
Let's talk.
How much does it cost to use HandyNexus?
Downloading the app, posting a job and receiving quotes are free. You pay the price you agree with the artisan when you hire them. Artisans pay a small service fee on completed jobs, which is shown to them before they quote.
How do you verify artisans?
Before an artisan can send a quote, we check their National Identification Number and match it to a live selfie taken in the app. Artisans who fail the check cannot take jobs. Reviews from past clients then show you how they actually work.
What happens to my money after I pay?
Your payment is held safely by HandyNexus through our licensed payment partner, Flutterwave. The artisan is paid only after you confirm the job is done. If you do not respond within 72 hours of the artisan marking the job complete, payment is released automatically.
What if the work is poor or the artisan does not show up?
Open a dispute from the job screen before you confirm. Our support team reviews the chat, photos and job details and decides whether to refund you, release payment, or ask the artisan to return and fix it.
Is HandyNexus available in my state?
Yes. HandyNexus works in all 36 states and the FCT. Jobs are matched by distance, so you see verified artisans closest to you first, wherever you are.
What kinds of jobs can I post?
Plumbing, electrical work, AC and fridge repair, generator repair, carpentry, painting, tiling, POP ceilings, welding, auto repair, tailoring, cleaning, hair and makeup, and phone or laptop repair. More trades are added regularly.
How do I join as an artisan?
Download the app, choose "I'm an artisan", add your trades and service area, and complete the ID check. It takes about 10 minutes. Once verified, you start receiving jobs near you.
How and when do artisans get paid?
Straight to your Nigerian bank account as soon as the client confirms the job. You can track every payment in the Earnings tab.
Can I talk to the artisan before hiring?
Yes. You can chat with any artisan who quotes on your job, ask questions and request more photos before you decide. Your phone number stays private until you hire.
How do I contact support?
Tap Help in the app or email support@handynexus.work. We reply within one working day, and urgent job issues are handled faster.
